I always thought the "Fascist Party" for the Republicans and the "Socialist Party" for the Democrats would be real truth in advertising. I watched the debate tonight and wasn't impressed too much with they're calls for "redeployment". The Iraqis are telling us to leave, and we say "how about if we stand over here."
"Leave" is such a simple concept, yet they try to make it seem so hard.
Hmmm... do you think this might be why we're seeing all the information about "foiled terrorist plots" on the news?

I'm skeptical of these foiled plots in general, because it seems they are needed to justify the shredding of our constitution. I've read a story on this specific plot, the gist of which was that these guys were incompetent buffoons who had no chance to begin with.
Yet another poorly organized, informant-assisted plot that received outsized attention relative to its harm. I'm glad they caught them, for sure, but like the Overtown Seven, this is the gang who can't shoot straight all over again.
